          <datacite:description xml:lang="en" descriptionType="Abstract">The phenomenon of diffusing colour dyes through polymeric materials was investigated using agar gels as a model for polymeric materials. The method for quantifying the amount of dye through into the gel is measured by color difference (ΔE*ab) of the sliced gel that before colour transfer and and after colour trancefer. However, this method has a few limitations such as variations in determining colour value of dark colored samples.
Therefore, we considered that more accurate quantification would be possible by creating a calibration curve for absorption spectra of melted gel. This is because the absorption spectra is measured from a single wavelength of light and the diluted samples can be used. To create the calibration curve, samples of agar gels containing a predetermined amount of dye are prepared and measure to determine their color difference and absorbance. The coefficient of determination was close to 1 for the calibration curve created from absorption spectra. It was determined that the absorbance was measured from a single wavelength of light and less affected by colour of samples. It therefore produced a more accurate calibration curve. These results indicate that for soluble materials, the amount of dye in the sample can be more accurately determined by using a calibration curve prepared from the absorption spectra.</datacite:description>
          <datacite:description xml:lang="ja" descriptionType="Abstract">染色物の色が高分子材料へ浸透・拡散する「色移り」という現象について、高分子材料のモデルとして寒天ゲルを用いて、その色彩値から検量線を作成し、ゲルに含まれる染料の定量を行った。これまでの色彩値をもとに染料の量を求める方法では、染料の色彩が結果に影響を与えてしまう。そこで吸光度をもとに検量線を作成することで精度を高められると考えた。
染料の濃度が明らかな寒天ゲルを作成し、色彩値・吸光度の測定を行い、その結果から検量線を作成した。作成した検量線からゲル内に拡散した染料を定量すると、吸光度から作成した検量線を用いて定量した場合には色彩値から求めた場合と比べ、なめらかな曲線を得ることができた。また、吸光度から作成した検量線では決定係数は 1 に近い数値を示し、ゲルに含まれる染料のモル濃度は計算で求めることができた。
これは、吸光度がある１点の波長の透過光から求められるために、色彩の違いによる影響を受けにくく、より精度の良い検量線を作成することができたためと考えられる。結果から、溶解可能な試料の場合には、検量線の作成に吸光度を利用することで、より正確に色彩からゲルに含まれる染料の量を求めることができるとわかった。</datacite:description>
