All my sources were from the last 20 years, with sources from video series from Britain and America, and with groups of books with a common theme, such as the hypothetical idea of Jesus being married,which appears in The Da Vinci Code and other books that were used as source material by Dan Brown, the writer of The Da Vinci Code. Another group of books that I used were books are about the Roman army during the days of the Roman Empire, written by four different authors with differing backgrounds. The other group of books that I used was the Harry Potter series, which are unique in that they have both British and American versions. Researching these books revealed data about the differences in the attitudes towards was and were when used after if. The results of my research showed that most writers simply use their own ideas of the rules: some writers more or less consistently used was, while other writers more or less consistently used were. This makes it very difficult for teachers to decide whether to teach their students to use was or were after if, particularly as whichever from they teach their students, the students will invariably come into contact with the opposite use. The data collected ten years ago from 10-year-old children in England, who are now of university age, give a key hint as to what forms of English teachers teaching English as a foreign language should consider when teaching university students in the present day(in 2013).","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_10002_publisher_8":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"実践女子大学"}]},"item_10002_source_id_11":{"attribute_name":"書誌レコードID","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"AA12216647","subitem_source_identifier_type":"NCID"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Jones, ,Andrew"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"2862","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2016-06-20"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"FLC8-1.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"138.1 kB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_11","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"FLC8-1","url":"https://jissen.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/1271/files/FLC8-1.pdf"},"version_id":"ea4cd790-e0db-40c9-b062-87859a01f2c6"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"eng"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"Use of Singular Was or Were After If: What do the Data Tell Us?","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"Use of Singular Was or Were After If: What do the Data Tell Us?"},{"subitem_title":"Use of Singular Was or Were After If: What do the Data Tell Us?","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_type_id":"10002","owner":"16","path":["70"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"公開日","attribute_value":"2014-04-01"},"publish_date":"2014-04-01","publish_status":"0","recid":"1271","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["Use of Singular Was or Were After If: What do the Data Tell Us?"],"weko_creator_id":"16","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2023-05-15T13:04:02.738598+00:00"}
