They are English language knowledge and skills, knowledge of the Course of Study, and the idea and practical ability of teaching methods. It is said the contents of the examinations are shifted to the teaching profession-first policy by reforming a system of education, but specific data on these areas are not clear. This paper surveys and analyzes 25 prefectural Teacher Employment Examinations currently( 2011,2012)used in Kanto and Kansai regions of Japan. The results of the survey and analysis suggest that the current Teaching Employment Examinations used in Kanto and Kansai regions do not place enough emphasis on testing knowledge of the Course of Study and of knowledge of Teaching methods.They make a big point of assessing skills like reading comprehension, vocabulary,rules of compositions, but do not put a high value on critical thinking. The point ofview held throughout this paper is to consider how to evaluate aptitude for English teachers, and what is appropriate examinations.}, pages = {43--59}, title = {教員採用選考試験(英語)の3つの視点  ─英語能力・学習指導要領・指導法─}, volume = {8}, year = {2013} }
