The program is aimed at enhancing students’ autonomous learning by using an English grammar book designed for self-study. The program is named “GrammarMarathon” by the researchers where students are encouraged to envision themselves as marathon runners during the process of completing the grammar book. The program is constructed based on the idea of Self-Regulated Learning(Zimmerman, 1990). The result suggests that students evaluated the program positively, that a significant number of students completed the book, perceive their English grammar knowledge improved, and their overall English ability increased.
