| 内容記述 | This article seeks to explore the question “What can language educators learn from bilingual children?” First, an earlier study, based on a survey of children who grew up using both English and Japanese, is described. An analysis of the survey yielded seven principles that respondents identified as essential in their becoming bilingual. These principles are used as a framework for assessing the authors’ university English-language teaching practices. The article concludes with some practical suggestions for teaching ideas based on the experiences of and suggestions from bilingual children. | |||||
