| 内容記述 | The early stage of tourism research emerged in Europe in the late 19th century through statistical analyses focused on the foreign currency inflow brought about by tourist arrivals. Despite myriads of studies focusing on the tourism phenomenon accumulated over approximately 150 years to date, these efforts have not yet developed into a distinct academic discipline centered on tourism, and furthermore, a clear direction for the field has long remained elusive. Therefore, the primary objective of this study is to discuss the factors that have prevented the study of tourism from evolving as a discipline. Its secondary objective is to present a new direction for the field to develop as an academic discipline in the future. | |||||||||

| 内容記述 | 観光研究の初期段階は、19 世紀後半のヨーロッパにおいて観光客の来訪によってもたらされる外貨流入に焦点を当てた統計分析によるものであった。現在に至るまでの約 150 年間にわたり観光現象に焦点を当てた数多くの研究が積み重ねられてきたにもかかわらず、これらの取り組みが観光を軸とする独自の学問分野へと発展しておらず、しかもこの分野の明確な明確な方向性すら長期にわたり曖昧なままである。そこで、本研究の目的は、観光学が学問分野として進化するのを妨げてきた要因を論述することにある。また、この分野が学問分野として発展するための新しい方向性を提示することを、本研究の副次的な効果とする。 | |||||||||
