| 内容記述 | 本稿では宮沢賢治の作品を引用する映画『幕が上がる』に表れた初期仏教思想を検討した。 本映画中で富士ヶ丘高校演劇部員たちが吉岡先生の退職という喪失から立ち上がって行く仕方は、仏弟子達がブッダの入滅を体験する中で「自らをたよりとし、法をよりどころとして生きていく」という後の「自帰依」「法帰依」と言われる教えによって乗り越えていく姿と酷似していた。そして舞台『幕が上がる』ではそこからさらに「お互いの喪失を救い合う」という大乗仏教の境地にまで進められていたのである。 |

| 内容記述 | This study examines concepts of early Buddhism in the movie Maku Ga Agaru （The Curtain Rises） via Buddhist writer MIYAZAWA Kenji’s work as quoted in the movie. It highlights similarities between how the student drama club members recover from the loss of Yoshiyoka-sensei and how the Buddha’s disciples overcame their great loss after the Buddha’s nirvana by adhering to the Buddha’s teachings and being self-reliant. This study also emphasizes how, in the live stage versions of Maku Ga Agaru, the members gained additional psychological depth in keeping with the Mahāyāna Buddhist principle of reciprocal help, “to save each other’s losses.”. | |||||
