内容記述 | "Clean-up" is one of the important habits of living which we as adults expect children to acquire. Although "clean-up" may not be considered a main activity, children usually have to put away things together several times a day in early childhood care and education settings. "Clean-up" time could sometimes be hard for both children and adults. There are diverse aspects of "clean-up" activity. It is also necessary to consider some of the dynamics that cause difficulties during "clean-up" periods. A close look at "clean-up" will reveal that "clean-up" has great educational significance and could be a purposeful activity in its own right. "Clean-up" activity also affects the quality of care and education. All these things give us useful hints on how to improve the practice of care and education, and provide some suggestions concerning early childhood teacher's role. It follows from what has been said that "clean-up" deserves more than a passing notice. Teachers and researchers in the field should pay more attention to "clean-up" and young children's daily living as well. | |||||
