| 内容記述 | 一般読者を対象とした国語辞典の最近の動向の概略を整理して示した上で、国語辞典が提供できる言語運用情報と現代の読者のニーズとを、辞典におけるさまざまな工夫の具体例分析を通して探究する。中でも対人コミュニケーションにおいて留意すべき感情表現や含意に関するいわば語用論的な情報が有用と考えられるが、媒体を問わず国語辞典の使用頻度自体が低下した世代への発信力はまだ十分とは言えない可能性が指摘できる。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | This paper asks whether general Japanese monolingual dictionaries can give enough usable information for the practical use of the language, by showing the latest trends in usage. What is particularly important seems to be information that might help personal communication, such as the connotations of certain combinations of words in particular contexts or situations.Dictionaries are certainly trying all sorts of ways to improve their pragmatic information. These days, however, users, including students, seem not even to notice this, since they are tending less and less to look words up in dictionaries, whether printed or electronic. | |||||
